Terms of Service

Last updated 5 October 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

Waves (waves.do) is a short-form public conversation service operated by TBD Soft. By creating an account, signing in, or using Waves, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Waves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Waves. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Waves with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when you register and for keeping your credentials secure.

3. Your account

You may register with an email address and password, or through a supported sign-in provider such as Google.

Your username is public and becomes part of your profile address on Waves. Usernames that are reserved, impersonating, or abusive may be changed or reclaimed.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Contact us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Content you post

You retain ownership of the text, images, and other content you post (“Content”). By posting Content, you grant Waves a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that Content solely to operate, improve, and promote the service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to post your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

Public Content may be visible to anyone on the internet, including people who are not signed in. Private-account settings limit some discovery, but do not make Content confidential in all circumstances.

5. Prohibited conduct

You may not use Waves to harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate others; to post illegal content; to distribute malware; to spam or scrape the service in an abusive way; to circumvent blocks, rate limits, or security controls; or to interfere with the integrity or availability of Waves.

You may not upload content that exploits or endangers minors, or that you do not have the right to share.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove Content, limit visibility, suspend, or permanently close accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for other users or the service. We may also act on valid legal requests.

You can report Content or accounts that you believe violate these Terms. Reports help moderation, but we do not guarantee a particular outcome or response time.

7. Third-party services and RSS

Waves may display Content mirrored from public RSS feeds and may offer tools for publishers to claim those profiles. Mirrored Content remains subject to the rights of its original publishers.

Sign-in providers, email delivery, hosting, and storage providers process data as described in our Privacy Policy. Waves is not responsible for third-party sites you choose to open from links posted on the service.

8. Service changes and availability

Waves is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, be limited by feature flags, or be discontinued. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TBD Soft and Waves are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Waves at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including licenses already exercised, liability limits, and dispute terms) will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Waves after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
